点评：Disappointing Spa Experience – Not Worth the Price
We booked a full spa day with a two-course lunch for £320, expecting a relaxing luxury experience, but unfortunately, we left feeling very disappointed and wouldn't return.
The spa facilities themselves were quite limited. There are two indoor pools, one jacuzzi, two steam rooms, two saunas, and an outdoor jacuzzi, which unfortunately wasn't working during our visit. Once you've had a swim, used the jacuzzi and tried the steam rooms and saunas, there really isn't much else to do. We found ourselves spending most of the day simply lying on a sun lounger reading or scrolling through our phones.
One positive was that there were plenty of loungers available, so finding somewhere to relax wasn't an issue.
The changing rooms, however, felt very dated. They consist of lots of small individual rooms, making the layout quite confusing and in need of modernisation.
Lunch was another disappointment. Although a two-course meal was included, there were several supplements on the menu. For example, if you wanted the chicken with salad, it was an additional £6, and desserts also incurred an extra charge. We felt that for the price of the spa day, these additional charges were unnecessary.
The food itself was underwhelming. The salad was bland and lacked flavour, the starter was nothing memorable, and the panna cotta was equally disappointing. Drinks were also charged separately, which added even more to what was already an expensive day.
Overall, we expected far more from what is marketed as a luxury spa experience. For £320, we had anticipated better facilities, more included experiences, higher-quality food, and a greater sense of value for money.
Sadly, the experience didn't justify the cost, and while the spa has potential, it simply wasn't enough to keep us entertained for a full day.
Unfortunately, we won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it as a luxury spa day based on our experience.
