The Spa at Mottram Hall的点评
点评：I recently visited this spa and overall it was really relaxing, but there were a few things that let it down.
There’s a variety of pools, saunas, and facilities, so there’s plenty to use and it doesn’t get boring. It also wasn’t busy when I went, which made it feel calm and chilled. From the start I felt very welcomed, and it was a nice touch being able to keep the tote bag and flip flops. The shower products were a really nice brand and felt quite luxurious.
The food was also a highlight. The lunch restaurant was lovely, and the cake at the café was really nice with it being moist and fresh.
That said, there were some disappointing points, especially for the price. I noticed hairs in a lot of areas, including on the floors, walls, and even in the water, which wasn’t great. Even though it’s meant to be no kids allowed, there were two children in the pool in the evening, playing and shouting, which took away from the relaxing vibe.
The changing areas felt limited and could definitely do with more proper changing rooms. A couple of things also weren’t working while we were there like one of the saunas was out of order the whole time and one of the monsoon showers didn’t work.
Lastly, while the restaurant itself was nice, the menu could be better. It felt quite restrictive, with most dishes having ingredients that won’t suit everyone. Considering how expensive it already is just to get in, it did feel very pricey overall.
