点评:This was one of the worst and most disappointing transport experiences we have ever faced in Sri Lanka. What happened with Kangaroo Cabs / Kangaroo Vans is completely unacceptable and shameful.
We booked a Kangaroo Van (KDH) through their official website and were asked to pay 50% advance payment, which we paid without delay, trusting the company. Only after taking our money, they informed us of the real situation.
Instead of the van we booked and paid for, they sent a car, which was clearly not suitable or sufficient for our group. When we questioned this, the driver casually said there would be a refund. Later, management called and completely changed the story.
We were then told:
• There are no vans available
• Their system shows an error
• No refund is possible, even though they failed to provide the service we booked and paid for
This is extremely unprofessional and dishonest. If there were no vans available, they should have clearly stated this BEFORE accepting payment, not after collecting money and putting customers in a helpless situation.
What makes this even more painful is that we are Sri Lankans. It is shameful and sad to be treated this way by people from our own country. If this is how locals are treated, what kind of experience would a foreigner have? This kind of behavior seriously damages Sri Lanka’s image and tourism reputation.
Taking advance payments, failing to provide the booked vehicle, and then refusing refunds is completely unacceptable. There was no responsibility, no transparency, and no customer care.
⚠️ Strong warning to everyone:
DO NOT book Kangaroo Vans. Do not trust their website bookings or advance payment requests. This experience caused unnecessary stress, frustration, and embarrassment after a long journey.
Very bad service. Very poor management. Shameful behavior.
I would never recommend Kangaroo Vans to anyone — locals or foreigners.

千万不要预订 Kangaroo Vans 的服务。不要相信他们的网站预订或预付款要求。这次经历让我们在长途旅行后倍感压力、沮丧和尴尬。
服务极差,管理混乱,行为令人不齿。
