At that point, I was already anxious and only wanted clarification. When my husband tried to calmly speak with the manager, he again refused to answer the question, raised his voice, and walked away.
Clients should be able to ask reasonable questions—especially in a situation involving skydiving—without being made to feel like a burden or dismissed. This was not a minor issue like a wrong coffee order; I was trusting them with my family’s safety.
The instructors themselves were excellent, and we all completed the jump successfully. However, the manager’s attitude put a damper on what should have been a very special experience. The entire situation could have been avoided with a simple, respectful explanation.
The manager that was there on May 16th should not be representing your company or be in a customer facing position and I would recommend that there is consistency in how jumper are prepared before the jump.
