点评：Ojai Mountain winery (no relation to Ojai Mountain Farm restaurant in town) is a private vineyard estate perched on the very top of a mountain range above Ojai with spectacular views, focused entirely on growing and making the most exceptional wines.
From the drive up to the tasting itself, the whole experience feels quiet, personal, and very authentic. Wine tasting happens outside overlooking the vineyard, and on a clear day you can see the ocean and the Channel Islands. The view is breathtaking. The sommelier walks you through each wine and explains the vineyard, farming, and winemaking. It is much more like visiting someone’s actual estate than going to a typical tasting room.
The wines are very refined, in the Rhone style (GSM blends along the lines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape). Fresh, elegant, and surprisingly cool-climate for Southern California. It is a very peaceful and special experience. No crowds, no restaurant scene, just vines, mountain air, and really thoughtful wines grown right on the property.
If you are looking for a rare and authentic estate vineyard experience in Ojai, this is unmatched.
