点评:I booked Historical Experience tour for Benjamin Franklin House, the only surviving house of the great American statesman (there is none in the US). Still had some time to take in the luxury of Northumberland Avenue with its stunning buildings and headed back to the Franklin House for their first tour of the day. The house has no period furniture of Franklin’s time when he was a lodger of Margaret Stevenson and her daughter Polly, who had become his second family. The rooms are empty and the tour is delivered by two people - one is a guide and another one is an impersonator of Margaret (the latter didn’t add anything to the tour, in my opinion). If you know enough about Benjamin Franklin, then there is nothing new for you to discover. For me it was important to find myself in the house where Franklin lived for 16 years (from 1757 to 1775), to stand on the original floor where he stepped, look through the windows and… just be there
