By far the worst accommodation experience I have ever had.

点评：This was honestly one of the most disappointing stays I’ve ever had.
My partner and I booked Room 1812 for Valentine’s Day. We were really looking forward to it. The room itself was spacious and the view was nice, that’s genuinely the only positive.
Everything else went downhill.
First, having to walk to a shop outside New Street Station to collect and then return the keys is just frustrating. When you’re staying right by the Bullring, you don’t expect to be running around the city with luggage just to check in.
But the biggest issue was cleanliness.
The floors were dirty. The walls were marked. The fridge had leftover milk and sauce in it from previous guests. The toilet had used female sanitary items in it. Under the bed was disgusting. The bedding smelled and did not feel clean. There was absolutely no way we could sleep in that bed.
On top of that, the bathroom light didn’t work, so the bathroom was dark. The Wi-Fi was poor, and when I asked for help I was told it had worked for previous guests. That doesn’t really help when it isn’t working for you. In the end, I had to hotspot my phone just to use the TV.
The mattress was terrible, you could feel every spring. It was honestly shocking.
My partner ended up in tears because the whole experience just felt so disappointing, especially as this was meant to be a special Valentine’s stay. We left after five hours and booked a Travelodge instead, which was cleaner and far more comfortable.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but people deserve to know what they’re walking into.
I would not recommend staying here.
