The houseboat condition was unacceptable. The washroom was broken, towels were dirty, food waste (including bones) was visible on the floor, and the food served was not fit to eat. These are basic hygiene expectations, regardless of season.
For long-distance travel, we were provided with a very old and poorly maintained car. When we requested a change, we were told that no alternative was available unless we paid ₹3,000 extra per day, despite already paying a premium amount. Additionally, within just one day, the package price was increased by nearly ₹20,000, which we accepted—yet the service quality did not improve.
During the trip, the driver frequently took long detours, seemingly to avoid toll roads. This significantly increased travel time and distance, causing unnecessary fatigue. Across multiple cities, the absence of toll roads and extended travel hours did not feel logical or transparent.
We raised complaints during the trip with photos, but they were ignored by the assigned sales executive. Even after escalation, no corrective action was taken. When we spoke to the sales head, the response was limited to an apology, with no resolution or accountability.
After posting a review, the explanation given was “peak season,” advance sharing of houseboat photos, and confirmation of an Innova vehicle. However, peak season does not justify poor hygiene or broken facilities. A vehicle category alone does not guarantee comfort—maintenance and route choices matter.
Overall, this experience reflects misrepresentation, deficiency in service, and lack of post-payment accountability. We are sharing this review with photos so future travelers can make an informed decision
