点评：My friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a spa day. On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely gentleman on reception, and we both had back massages which were very good overall.
The therapist who carried out my massage was really lovely. However, the therapist treating my friend was quite abrupt afterwards. In my experience, clients are usually given at least 5–10 minutes after a massage to relax and get up properly. Instead, only 2–3 minutes later, she was knocking on the door saying, “Can you hurry up, as I have a client waiting.”
Her tone and facial expression were unacceptable and came across as very unprofessional. I pointed out that if she had mentioned at the end of the massage that they were running behind schedule, we would have gladly hurried along. If the facility was running late for any reason, this could have been communicated politely rather than taken out on clients.
Unfortunately, this interaction really put a dampener on my day. To add to this, the jacuzzi was out of order once we went through to the pool area. There were two steam rooms available, which was fine, although I did wonder why both were unisex rather than having one for females and one for males.
The pool was also very cold, at least for me personally.
The package also included a meal, but the choices were extremely limited — essentially a jacket potato with beans OR cheese [if you wanted cheese with your beans you have to pay extra], or avocado and eggs on toast. Further to this, the facility charge you £10 for the use of their robes, that's too much!
Overall, the experience has made me question whether I would return to the facility, and the answer is probably no. It is disappointing because, with a little more professionalism and customer care, the day could have been a much more enjoyable experience. The cafe where we ate wasn't all that either!
