Paid $975 for a VIP tour, but key activities were rushed or skipped. Disappointing and not worth the price.

点评：We were very disappointed with our VIP Chichén Itzá tour. My son paid $975 for four people—two adults and two children—after being told that the tour included adequate time at the ruins, lunch at a restaurant of our choice, swimming at a cenote, free time to explore Valladolid, and the option to return to the resort around 6:00 p.m.
Unfortunately, our guide, Homero, rushed us through Chichén Itzá, and we were unable to see the entire site. We were also told that the included lunch was limited to a buffet at the cenote and that we would have to pay separately if we wanted an à la carte restaurant, which was not what we had been promised.
Because it began raining, we were driven through Valladolid but were not allowed to get out, wait for the rain to pass, explore the town, or buy souvenirs. We were then returned to the resort at approximately 4:00 p.m., about two hours earlier than expected.
We understand that the company cannot control the weather, but the shortened visit, the lunch change, the rushed schedule, and the early return were extremely disappointing. For the amount paid, the tour did not provide the VIP experience or the full itinerary promised. We have requested a fair partial refund.
