We tried this place after a recommendation from our son. Very good old fashioned burger. I thought the prices were a bit steep for the fare but it was good. Other places are just as good at quite a bit lower cost.

We ventured here on our last night in LA because I found the place on a list of places to eat pecan pie. You walk in and instantly step back in time a few decades as you are met with a large u-shaped table surrounding the kitchen and serving area. The ancient cash registers (and yes this place is cash... 更多
Two of us stopped by for lunch on a Friday and, despite the tiny size of the restaurant's U-shaped counter, quickly bad seats and orders in. A shared order of fries, two hickory burgers, and house-made banana cream pie arrived, each well prepared and good enough to order on multiple visits. Add to that the charming, retro ambiance and wallet-friendly... 更多
Haven't here in 3 years.. I was in the neighborhood so I stop by.. All I can say it was like going there for the first time.. Steakburger with cheese...yummy. Now I don't like Apple pie never have done, but my partner does. We drove past a few times and thought lets have a look. My partner was in heaven. For a small business to service 70 plus years is amazing. The service and the pie was fantastic.
Loved this genuine place, and was more than happy with the loovely hickory burger and the fries, but also the deco and around the counter arrangement. The banoffee pie was not bad either! The men working there is another reason for going, such cool guys. Actually had to come back for a second burger before leaving LA.
Certainly not the best burger in town given all the competition. Burger is good, especially with the stack of lettuce they put on it. It's also not inexpensive. I think the burgers are around $8 plus fries it becomes a $12 burger and fries. It is still a fun place to go and is deep in history.
We met friends and went early for the great experience of the Apple Pan. Hickory burger almost as good as we remembered, and apple pie and chocolate pudding met our cravings. Parking was easily available by going early. Can't say traffic was anywhere near what we remembered. Worse than ever, coming from Westwood.
Apple pan has been here forever. Good burgers cooked as you wait. Better fries. Have never tried the pie. Burgers served in wrapper. It's not the best burger but this burger in that environment takes it to above average. Drinks served in a can with a cone paper cup. Fries on a container with catsup squirted for you on a... 更多
