Voila is a small, intimate place right in our neighborhood. The food is genuine French cuisine, impeccably prepared to order. The staff is attentive, friendly, informed. We go frequently, and once you know, you will too.
A little hard to find-South of Shea, east of 96th, east of the "101". Owned , chef, and server from France, everything authentic. We had escargot, onion soup, pommel frites, mussels (modules marionettes), special sea bass, and a chicken pastry with chocolate mousse. Good French wine. Small-5 tables for 4 & 4 tables for 2, all movable for larger groups... 更多
We'll be back in Paris again in May so this was a real treat for us as well as a wonderful opportunity to be with dear friends again who escape the harsh winters of the east coast. I was able to practice my rusty French as well as eat two of my all-time favorites, escargots (which are served out of... 更多
It is a pleasant surprise to see a robustly French bistro in Scottsdale. Not that we care for it ourselves, but just seeing frogs legs on the blackboard tells you this is much more authentic in tone than most. We chose other classic dishes: a salmon starter, duck confit, boeuf bourgignon. One of the few places we've found that offers... 更多
VFB is a wonderful little place with charm. Menu items tried: Mussels: Delicious and a full portion. Bouchée al la Reine: Chix/Mushroom in cream sauce served on a puff pastry. Delicious and very rich. Pomme Frites served crunchy and hot. Triple dessert: Warm chocolate tart, a creme brûlée plus a raspberry cream pie tartlet. Great American Coffee--wish they offered second... 更多
After living in France for a number of years, it is wonderful to find an authentic French bistro. The food is terrific and the décor and service are the best. Don't miss the lamb or the beef bourguignon. Delicious.
We have had lunch and dinner at Voila - both times excellent food. We decided to try the all you can eat mussels -marinieres (steamed with garlic, celery and white wine) and provencales - staemed with garlic, celery, white wine and tomatoes. While a little heavy on the garlci, the mussels were plump and juicy and the broth tasty. I... 更多
Voila closed for the month of July and this was our first opportunity to go back for some nice French dishes. We were seated and ordered wine and appetizers. I ordered the mussels and my wife the scallops. The mussels were great, only complaint is they had a bit more garlic than I like but were still very good and... 更多
We went for dinner and everything was delicious. The atmosphere is nice with fresh flowers on the table. The chef and hostess are the owners and from France. I had the asparagus salad and the duck confit. My friend had the smoked salmon appetizer and fresh mushroom and asparagus in a pastry shell appetizer for her entree. We shared a... 更多
