Nice food and excellent soft-ice :-) Good variety in more traditional dishes like meatballs, "poteteball" and typical fast-food like burgers, chips and so on.

We were informed that this had the best fish and chips in Alesund, but we were quite disappointed. While it is good to find a meal around 10 euros, the quality was not particularly impressive. Perhaps the disappointment comes from the expectations that this would be good fish and chips.....
After reading the reviews, I decided to go find this place expecting a restaurant more in conformity with the pic posted here. LOL~ It's a fast-food stall next to Big Horn Steakhouse and obviously located there to feed the cruise ships, as well as the locals. It's a fastfood diner, small and practical. The fish ("fish'n") is the best in town, very-very fresh. Other things are also fine but why would you want them in a fish-n-chips place? Great place.
Good and varied food. Not just fastfood, as you would expect from a snackbar, but "proper" food like "poteteball" and "kjøttkaker" too. Spuds, vegetables and gravy! Not bad for a fast food place. Weekends there open for the nighteaters too :-)
