As stated in previous reviews, it is not perfectly maintained. Still, it holds a special place in my heart; we sat on the bench, enjoyed the sun end the peaceful setting, almost drunk of the scents of blossoming trees and roses. A true retreat as Tuscany in general should be.
The Horti Leonini are spread along the border of the entire historical center of San Quirico. It is very well-kept and has a delightful atmosphere, even in the Winter.
San Quirico is a wonderful hill town near Montepulciano. It has charming hotels, great restaurants and is centrally located in Tuscany. It's just a few miles drive to Montepulciano, Pienza, La Foce and Montalcino...wine, food, cheese, history, beautiful countryside... What more could you want?
It is worth the trip to the hilltop town of San Quirico d'Orcia in Tuscany to visit these gardens. Immaculately sculpted gardens with plenty of beautiful photo ops! Can't recommend it enough!!!
