I really enjoyed my time at the Woody Guthrie Center! The small museum packs a lot of exhibits, displays, and interactives in such a small area. My wife and I greatly enjoyed learning more about Woody Guthrie and his life. I believe we spent about two hours enjoying the panels and history. There is a variety of different areas dedicated... 更多
It's a very well done, small museum. But, if you do not have a passion for American folk music and Woody Guthrie, it can be a very short trip. I found the exhibits on the Dust Bowl and WWII and Woody's experiences with them to be most interesting. Our teenagers were not amused.
Small museum, but they have it unobtrusively packed w/ more than a full-sized one. It's artfully displayed, visitor friendly, extremely well-planned and fun to tour. When you leave, you feel like you KNOW Woody Guthrie and everything he represents! There's another big room w/ changing exhibits about other people........equally fascinating. The people who work there are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, thrilled... 更多
This really is a hidden gem, though it looks small from the outside it is well worth a visit, it is a fantastic interactive museum depicting the life of Woody Guthrie. If you love music--Tulsa is your place and start at the Woody Guthrie Museum--where his archives reside-displayed in an interactive way by a great curatorial staff--add to that the Bob Dylan archives --and you have a hit-and don't miss nearby Cain's Ballroom as well.
I did not know much about Woody Guthrie except his most popular songs until we visited. This small museum does an excellent job of chronicling his life. More importantly it chronicles his times and what shaped his worldview. There is a short introductory movie and many interactive exhibits. I really enjoyed the hour or so spent here. The museum is... 更多

It does a wonderful job of depicting the life, influences and genius of Woody Guthrie and also showcases the era that influenced him and the artists who were influenced by Guthrie's protest songs. You will learn about the dustbowl, the depression and WWII. There are interactive... 更多

The Woody Guthrie Center is an amazing tribute to the life and history of Woody Guthrie. Be sure to have plenty of time available. You will want to look among the pieces on display. Watch the videos. And possibly just sit and look at other people coming and going. There has been quite a few famous names that have come... 更多
