You get to go deep in the bowels of the ship. It is free with science Center nextdoor. I'm not sure if it is a basic science center ticket. We went on board after it rained. The deck was very slippery. Just a warning. I think that you can go more places in the Mather than a normal ship.

I'm not one for history but this was amazing. The restoration of the ship is original and to visually see the size of the area they use to transport material was huge. The view of Cleveland and Lake Erie is beautiful.

beautiful ship...each level is accessed by climbing up or down an attached ladder...not for the weak and wear tennis shoes not sandals. the furniture is antique original and the dining room is set up to reflect the era of travel seen by this rustic steamship. this is a must see.

I'm not sure how many places you can go and see an authentic steam ship with cargo bay area's and Captain's Quarters. Personally I've never seen one in another city so I would say this and the USS Cod (submarine from world war ll), especially USS Cod, is definitely worth seeing. The Mather it's absolutely fascinating and it's a self-guided... 更多

For those folks interested in maritime or Great Lakes history, this is a must see. Other reviewers have noted that the ship was boring and involved going up and down narrow steep stairways. Well folks, that was life on a freighter. These are both homes and workplaces all rolled into one. Glitz and glamour got left at the dock. It... 更多

Bottom line: Very hot in the summer. Old but nice history. Worth it if you think the admission is going to maintain and help restore the ship. We got these tickets when we bought our Great Lakes Science Center. We visited during Summer and it was HOT. We had to rush through. If you are going to do this tour,... 更多

I've toured other ships at other cities and this one offers good history about the Great Lakes and the ships that made Great Lakes industries and travel of goods possible. Not a whole lot of interactive exhibits, but the docents there had a lot of good information that added to the tour.

It was an interesting tour of a steamship that worked the Great Lakes. The crew quarters were quite large and the rooms for guests were luxurious for the time. The engine room was the most interesting part. Walking up and down the stairs could be tricky for some. I ended up carrying my four year son down the stairs as... 更多

We were in Cleveland weekend of the 12th, this was on my list of things to do. After walking 15 or so minutes in blazing heat we arrived just to see that it didn't open until 11:00....it was only 10:00. Very disappointed that we couldn't take a tour but I got a few decent photos. I've been fascinated watching oar/cargo... 更多

At first we weren't sure if we wanted to do this but now glad we did! Great to see the history of this steamship on our self guided tour. It took us approx. an hr and a half to walk through it. There are human guides (students) along the way if you have questions. Well worth the tour for those... 更多
