Our family visited the Village on its opening day. Cheerful box office staff in a well-stocked gift shop with locally handmade products, knowledgeable guided tour from a fellow who knew his subject matter, and an all round pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

Well organized. Tour guides informative. Showed what life was like for pioneers and their descendants. Interesting array of artifacts and buildings in nice settings.
Very interesting for local history. Knowlegable staff. Fun reenactments. The only drawback is that is difficult to manage if you have a walking disability
I took my son for a birthday party here and it was just amazing!!! I have lived in Pickering for 14 years and had never gone. We loved it, and the themed birthday party was just unreal.
This is a great little spot in a nice little Glen that realistically depicts life in early Ontario. The buildings, the tools and clothes, etc. Very educational, and fun.

Very interesting, going back in time. You can see all the old time costumes and also how they used to cook, sometimes they put on shows.
