点评:I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but I laughed at some of the negative reviews about Perth’s transport system - mainly written by people living in Perth.
I live in Sydney and have visited other cities in Australia and the world, so I was amazed at how organised and clean it is:
1) it only costs $7.00 a day for a family to use the network!
2) you can still buy tickets and don’t need to sign up for Opal or Mikey cards!
3) you can use a bus network to travel for free throughout the CBD and the buses come every 10-15 minutes during the day. Many of the cat bus stops even tell you when the bus is coming. You won’t get anywhere for free in Sydney!
4) all of the staff we met were friendly and helpful over the whole week.
5) even when we couldn’t catch the train to the airport, a staff member came to us and explained how to catch the replacement bus AND the replacement bus service is organised and pre-planned with predetermined bus stops!
Our only issue was that the printed cat bus routes with the bus stop names on the brochures and displayed in the buses don’t align with physical Perth street maps, so at first it was very confusing working out where to get on and off the different coloured cat buses - but once we worked that out, it was easy to navigate.
Perth people, you have an amazing city with an excellent transport network.
