A long way from Ireland and absolutely worth it!

点评：I travelled a long way from Ireland to train with Glenda, so choosing the right trainer was really important to me. I had researched a number of trainers beforehand and contacted others too. Some were very expensive and some felt quite fixed in their approach, where you almost had to fit your business around the way they worked. One phone call with Glenda and instantly she stood out - Glenda took the time to listen to me, my previous experience, my business and what I actually wanted to achieve. She didn't just give me a set way of doing things and expect me to follow it. She explained the why behind what we were doing and adapted the training around what I needed.
The 3-day intensive Lifecasting Masterclass was so hands-on. Glenda organised baby models and a dog model for us, so we were actually doing the work rather than simply watching someone else demonstrate it.
I already had experience working in a Children's Hospice and creating precious keepsakes using kits, so I knew how important this work is and how much pressure there can be when you're creating something so incredibly meaningful for a family. I wanted to be able to develop my skills properly and have confidence in what I was doing.
The difference after the training was huge.
I came home absolutely buzzing and kept looking at the work I'd created thinking, “I actually made that!”
What I really appreciated was that Glenda didn't try to turn me into a copy of her. She helped me become better at being me and showed me how I could take these skills and make them work for my own business. I went home knowing I have Glenda's support and advice in running my business - she has been inspirational on my self employed journey.
I'm now taking everything I've learned back to Ireland and developing Forever Held By Lou, creating bespoke and personal keepsakes for families and continuing the hospice work that means so much to me.
If you're considering travelling from another country to train with Glenda, don't let the distance put you off. I travelled a long way from Ireland and I honestly wouldn't hesitate to make the journey again!
