Longleat House的点评
点评：Visited the beautiful Longleat House today with family. We had decided to book the guided tour as it allows access to other parts of the house.
Simon was our guide today and he was great, he was really knowledgeable and answered any questions. There were a few on the tour with mobility limitations and was able to assist with access.
I would really recommend a tour, as upstairs is beautiful, from the amazing ceilings with such intricate detail, to the gorgeous wedding dress that the stunning Lady Emma wore for her wedding plus her portrait which looks like she’s walking towards you. Lots of the women on the tour we were in were discussing the fine detail of lace on the dress. It was stunning.
Simon (tour guide) was really entertaining, informative and the House is a credit to the current Lord and Lady Bath, it is evident that it is well looked after and loved, I enjoyed seeing the original receiving room and how it would have looked to visitors 400 years ago, and to come out at the end of the tour with Lady Emma’s kitchen was like walking through time going through the house from its origin to the Tudors/Stuarts to the Victorian to the making of the Safari park and to the current. It is well thought through and clever,

导游西蒙不仅风趣幽默、知识渊博，这座庄园也充分体现了现任巴斯勋爵与夫人的用心经营。显然，他们悉心呵护并深爱着这座庄园。我很喜欢参观最初的接待室，想象400年前访客看到它的样子；而游览结束时又来到了艾玛夫人的厨房，这就仿佛穿越了时光——依次领略了这座宅邸从建成之初、都铎与斯图亚特时期、维多利亚时代，一直到 safari公园的建造以及如今的模样。整个设计构思缜密且巧妙。
