点评：On our way from Arthur's Pass to Hokitiki, about 50 minutes past the pass, we turned at Dillmanstown (don't blink, you'll miss it) onto Stafford Loop Rd. Please note, there is no cell service in this area, so download a map ahead of time if concerned. It's a small road, paved for a few kilometers, then gravel for a short distance, then paved again The tunnel is 10-15 minutes from the turn. If you are watching to your right, you'll see a sign with an arrow indicating 100meters to carpark. The entrance to the Tunnel is across the street from that sign. There is a sign for the carpark which can accommodate 4-6 cars. After going through the tunnel - it is short - there is a lovely lush walking loop which feels like you are going through hobbit land. You'll exit through the same tunnel.
If you're headed to Hokitiki, this is not out of your way at all and well worth the stop. If you continue on Stafford Loop, it intersects Rt6 in about 5-10min. Turn left (south) to head towards Hokitiki.
