A Peaceful Encounter with Elephants
Udawalawa Elephant Orphanage的点评
点评：We visited the Udawalawe Elephant Orphanage (Elephant Transit Home) as part of a one day tour with Hai Sri Lanka Tours. The stop was included in the tour plan, but entrance tickets were not included in the price something to keep in mind if you’re budgeting.
That said, the visit was absolutely worth it! The place is well-maintained, surrounded by beautiful nature, and has a calm, peaceful vibe especially in the evening when it’s not too crowded. We got to see the rescued baby elephants come in for their feeding, which was both heartwarming and respectful of the animals. They don’t allow close interaction (which is a good thing), but you get a great view from the observation area.
Hai Sri Lanka Tours managed the day well the schedule was smooth and our guide was friendly and informative. This stop was one of the highlights, and we’re glad we got to support a genuine conservation
