Very huge stadium with love for Suriname

点评：Very huge stadium, I believe around 30k people in total fit in there when totally full. Went there in March to attend the playoff FIFA World Cup game of Suriname (Natio soccer team) against Bolivia, unfortunately Bolivia won. Was really looking forward to this match as it was the first time that Suriname got so far, made it to the playoffs. Very positive to even make it to the World Cup, so close, it just wasn't our time yet. The guys did fight and gave their all, things just go how they should go, everything will happen when it supposed to happen. Thank you once again Natio boys (mijn echte Su strijders, soso lobie)! I still believe in you and grateful to have met all of you in Suriname and Mexico.
In the stadium there were more Bolivians than Surinamese supporters, but also a lot of local Mexicans at the game, and surprisingly most of the Mexican supporters were supporting Suriname. I couldn't believe it as 20 years ago when studying in Mexico I always had to explain where Suriname was and now they do know lol. Very heartwarming to see so many of them supporting us, later I understood why, because we were a Concacaf team, just as Mexico is also Concacaf, they preferred to have another Concacaf team to join the World Cup. The same with Jamaica, they preferred them to join. Next time we come back bigger and stronger! Thank you Mexico for the love and support!
