Lillico Beach Conservation Area的点评
点评：We visited the Lillico Beach Penguin Viewing Platform just after sunset and had a fantastic experience. On arrival, friendly volunteers were on hand to provide helpful information and set up red lighting so visitors could safely watch the penguins as they made their way ashore to their nesting areas.
On the night of our visit in early March 2026, we were lucky enough to see around 70 penguins waddling up the beach, an unforgettable sight.
The viewing season runs from September through to April, with penguins typically arriving 30–60 minutes after sunset. It’s worth checking sunset times in advance for your chosen day, and the volunteers also maintain a Facebook page (“Little Penguins Lillico Beach”) where they share updates and nightly penguin numbers.
Visitors are asked to only use red lighting and avoid flash photography to protect the penguins. There are no toilet facilities on-site, but there is plenty of parking available.
Best of all, this is a free attraction and absolutely worth the visit if you’re in the area.
