A private driver is the best way to get to Karahantepe. Your hotel may organise it.

点评：My hotel in Sanliurfa organised a private driver/ taxi ride. He drove me one hour to the KARAHAN Tepe ruins and waited for another hour. It was not expensive doing this trip. That was sufficient because it was the middle of the day. It was hard to take photos as the sun was high and there was no protection.
I would not go there when it rains as it would be slippery and possibly dangerous.
It was wonderful, my dreams had been fulfilled. Below I could see the little visitor centre and also where the people working on the site stay.
These ruins were very different to Gobekli Tepe. They didn’t have all the ‘t’ shaped columns. The women working there dug, the men wheeled barrows with the sand that was dug out. Travelling there you will see fields of cotton and of course the rock covered mountains.
