点评:The place is where 5 hill tribe villages with hundreds of villagers living in, which are Akha tribe, Iu Mienh (Yao) tribe, Lahu (Muser) tribe, Karen (Pga K’nyau) tribe, and Long Neck Karen (Kayan) tribe. The entrance fee is 200 Baht per person for Thai and 300 Baht per person for foreigner.
We walked through several straw huts serving as market stalls with hilltribe people in their traditional dresses sold their handicraft products. We bought several lovely items from each tribe as souvenirs to support them. We also attended their cultural dance. Such a nice experience!
Do not confuse with several pretentious comments heavily based on (bias) Western (double) standard. I talked to these villagers. They are willing to "earn their living" here by selling their handicraft products and dressing in their traditional clothing to present their culture to visitors. They gain benefit to do this and nobody forces them to do so. Performance?, may be, but at least they show their true roots, something that they once did (or their ancestors really did) to the world in memory of beautiful cultures that once existed on Earth.
In Disneyland, staffs are paid to perform as Disney characters (which never existed, so their performances have nothing connect with the real world) and sell expensive souvenirs to visitors. Also, entrance fee is beyond "expensive". Do you consider Disneyland as a human zoo (or a tourist trap)? Logic please
