点评：I and my friend payed $70 round trip each to go and spend a few hours in Zanzibar while waiting for our Dar es salaam business to be concluded, and to get advance info on a Zanzibar family vacation we have always talked about. Tickets were purchased a day before departure and no one (including ticket agents) mentioned that we needed to also purchase health insurance at $44 even when we were going there just for a few hours & to explore. They told us we needed to purchase the health insurance just before boarding, and our insurance from where we were coming from (including travel insurance) is not applicable. That's when they also mentioned more potential charges during return, including baggage fees. So we concluded we might end up being stuck in Zanzibar and mess up our primary mission in Dar es salaam. So we disembarked just before the ship started off & claimed a refund for the fare. Luckily, return/refund was smooth. I called my wife shortly after and shared the story. Without hesitation she emphatically told me to erase Zanzibar from our bucket list of travel destinations (we are both retired). It's okay, Zanzibar will find plenty of visitors ... but most likely not us.
