Wonderful Attraction
Dr Beynon's Bug Farm的点评
点评：What an absolute little gem of an attraction. We visited on a rainy weekday in May with my elderly parents and 3 year old daughter. From the moment we arrived the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We had purchased our tickets online in advance but added the handling experience on arrival.
There is a wonderful zoo featuring ant farms and an extensive range of insects and the fun addition of ‘lucky’ the frog! Staff in the zoo were incredibly enthusiastic, all too happy to share their knowledge of the insects with you. We also learned about the work of Dr Beynon. Bethany was an absolute delight, going above and beyond to talk about the insects at a level for adults and also my daughter. It was also Bethany who carried out our insect handling session which was amazing. My daughter was fascinated by the stick insects and cockroaches that she got to hold and the other insects she got to see and learn about up close.
Disabled access was excellent for all of the indoor areas allowing my father in a wheelchair to appreciate the attraction. We didn’t get to do the outside walk due to the weather but this wouldn’t have been accessible for a standard wheelchair.
We ate in the grub restaurant, lovely food served quickly. Staff in there were also wonderful, talking about the insects used in the meals.
All in all a lovely day, we spent 4 hours here with no issues. I can however see that our experience may not have been quite so personalised had we have visited on a busier day of the year.
