点评:I had the pleasure of seeing comedian Henry Cho at the Lyric on August 22nd. I bought two handicapped-accessible seats about two months ago. On the 22nd, my wife (the handicapped one) did not feel like going, so I drove two and a half hours to Birmingham for the concert by myself. When I showed my tickets to the usher, I told her I had two handicapped seats, but my handicapped wife did not come. The usher asked if I would like to sit down in a regular seat, and I said: “Sure.” She came back with a single seat in the middle of a row about seven rows back from the stage – a great seat.
This was my first time in the Lyric and that in itself was a treat. The warm-up comedian and Henry Cho referred to the box seats as the “Muppet” section, and the “Muppet” section was exquisitely restored, as was the rest of the theater. I will not hesitate to make the drive to the Lyric for another event.
