Fascinating immersion into Norfolk Island history - LOVED IT!!

点评：I cannot recommend the Norfolk Island Museum enough. It is in fact a collection of museums, each contributing something special to the rich history of Norfolk Island. The museum pass is great value, and the Tagalong Tours (incredibly included in the cost of your ticket) are AMAZING. I had the pleasure of being on a tour with both Prue and Didds. Prue was exceptional, humourous, warm, a wonderful storyteller and had a beautiful knack of placing each of us directly in the stories she was telling. Didds is a 5th generation (I hope I got that right) local and Pitcairn descendant whose knowledge and passion for the language and culture of Norfolk and Pitcairn gave yet another perspective to this fascinating and beautiful place. I'm so lucky to have seen Norfolk Island through your eyes! And to top it off, the Pitcairn Register was on display when I was there (usually at Greenwich Museum in London but I think it's on loan to Norfolk Island for 3 years). Such an incredibly important document. I also did the cemetery tour which is an add-on (you get a discount if you have a museum ticket) which is yet another fascinating perspective on the history of the island. Honestly, do as many tours as you can, speak to as many locals as you can, soak it all up!
