点评:You will not see a large sign indicating this is here... if you are driving from Flinders towards Portsea, there is a lane on your left hand side of travel about 2.5 k's from the edge of town. The lane is simply known as Blowhole Track.
The Flinders Blowhole is a dramatic, rocky coastal feature known for its powerful, crashing waves and rugged basalt cliffs. Accessed via a well-made track with a wooden boardwalk and stairway. It is a hazardous, non-swimming beach with unpredictable, strong, rip currents, and high, tides and, large, surf swells...BUT it's also incredibly beautiful and worth stopping to see the views.
The contrasts in colour with basalt at the bottom of the cliff, the stunning blues in the water, the greenery of the coast are all quite captivating.
It’s a game of hide-and-seek. Visitors often report needing to visit multiple times—or at exact high tide—to actually see it work. Otherwise, it’s just a quiet rock hole keeping its secrets.
