点评:We were in town for the chalk festival - so we had walked from Memorial Park ( where we had a picnic), up to the Visitor Centre before following the road on the opposite side to return to the car and see all of the artwork.
We stopped at the Visitor Centre to see if there were art exhibitions but there were murals in its lobby. One of them even allows you to write your name on it( with chalk). And of course, we all jumped at the chance to do that.
If you like architectural buildings- that will give you enough reason alone to step into this gorgeous building. The heritage-listed Yarram Courthouse, built in 1906 and opened in 1908 on Commercial Road, is a prominent Edwardian-style building featuring Northcote bricks and a unique, high octagonal courtroom. It served as the local Magistrates' Court until 1989.
The volunteer on the day was very engaging and passionate about the area he lives in. My daughter loved interacting with him and she purchased a few items from the gift store. We were inside for about 25 minutes and saw everything... talked to strangers and took photos of ourselves with the murals inside and of course with the building outside.
