Worth Every Euro: A Rioja Experience That Exceeded Every Expectation

点评：When we booked the Campo Viejo winery tour, we weren't quite sure what to expect. At €60 per person it initially felt a little expensive, but as we were only visiting Rioja once, we decided it was an opportunity we didn't want to miss.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear we'd made the right decision. The winery itself is stunning – a beautifully designed building, conceived in the 1960s with remarkable vision and ambition. It's an architectural masterpiece as much as it is a winery.
Our guide was excellent, speaking flawless English and making the experience both informative and engaging. With only six people in our group, the tour felt intimate and exclusive rather than rushed.
I won't spoil the sense of discovery by revealing too much, but the winery is absolutely enormous. The scale of the operation is genuinely breathtaking and unlike anything we had imagined.
The wine tasting, paired with carefully selected chocolates, was both enjoyable and surprisingly enlightening, demonstrating just how different flavour combinations can transform the wines. The generous discount in the shop was a welcome bonus too.
If you're visiting Rioja and wondering whether this tour is worth the money, the answer is an emphatic yes. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip, and I'd recommend it without hesitation.
