Mulafossur Waterfall的点评
点评：It's not just about the waterfall itself, which is not particularly special except for the fact that it falls directly into the ocean.
It's also about the picturesque view of the waterfall, the sea, the village of Gasadalur and the surrounding area. Together, they make for a magnificent, breathtakingly scenic view.
In spring and summer, the grass around it turns a beautiful, fresh, vibrant green.
This waterfall is included in most blogs about the Faroe Islands and the top 10 places to visit there. You definitely won't regret it.
It's very easy to access as it's not far from the car park. Unfortunately, as there are only a few spaces in this car park, people tend to park their cars everywhere along the road. There is another legal car park up in the village of Gasadalur, but from there you have to walk down the hill to reach the waterfall.
If you go there during strong winds, the waterfall will flow in the opposite direction, which is great fun as people go to the nearby footbridge to get showered by the waterfall!
If you visit between May and August, you might see puffins to the left of the waterfall, particularly in the evening when they return from the sea and become more active (you will need binoculars or a long lens).
Several small islands can be seen around the area.
This place is a photographer's and drone operator's paradise. The scenery is dramatic whether it's sunny or a little cloudy.
It's also one of the few tourist spots where you don't have to pay to visit.
At the scenic viewpoint, there are stairs leading down to the rocky shore. However, there is a sign at the bottom saying that you are not allowed to go there. So, you can probably guess what some people do :(
