点评:This is hidden from public view, but this island is full of people who are good and a lot of them that are cruel beyond comprehension. I visited the island and loved it- but I regret spending my money here. Here’s why: Whaling in the Faroe Islands, or grindadráp, is a type of drive hunting that involves herding various species of whales and dolphins, but primarily pilot whales, into shallow bays to be beached, killed, and butchered.
Each year, an average of around 700 long-finned pilot whales are caught, alongside varying numbers of Atlantic white-sided dolphins. I have now seen hours worth of footage of this violence towards these innocent animals and I will never ever endorse this island again. It’s so repulsive that these men are permitted to do this to these animals. I am thankful I got off the islands. Shame on this place.
