Great food and wine in a beautiful setting. What’s not to like?

点评：We visited Fattoria al Dotto as a group of 4 last Saturday for a late lunch. The setting in the hills above Lucca was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We were neither rushed nor left between courses too long. Two of us are vegetarian and our dietary needs were very tastily catered for. Each course was delicious. In fact, the first course of focaccia with olive oil and vermentino was so good we felt we would be happy with just eating more of the same. The rest of the meal continued in the same style.
We asked afterwards if we could see the cellars and were shown them and were told about the family history.
If you are looking for wine tasting with instructions for the notes to look for, this is not for you.
If you want a lovely meal in a beautiful setting, accompanied by a wine flight, I thoroughly recommend it.
