Nice hike but views from the plane are better

点评：We had this hike on our final day and unfortunately the weather did not play out, and I acknowledge that being a big factor here... but for some reason I expected "more" - it is nevertheless a super cool area, you just need to be "further" away from it all to appreciate it, think having a drone or flying over it to fully see the "illusion"
The hike is pretty long actually, about 45m or more one way, felt longer on the way back - not as scenic as everywhere else on Faroe Islands but still nice.
There is a big parking lot for all of the cars to accommodate, and then a cafe where you pay for the entrance fee (200 DKK so about 30 USD, not terrible though some complain about it - for a tourist visiting this amazing country I thought it was nothing, especially compared to Mykines, and ironically I think it was the same amount as the Kalsoy Lighthouse trail in USD at least since I have paid the other one with a credit card) with a card or cash, and free toilets. Despite many cars, the most "cars=people" we had seen in 7 nights on the islands next to Gjogv, but here it did not feel overcrowded - it's just a long hike to stretch the crowds :) and even at the end of it where the waterfall is, there is plenty of room for all people.
Once you make it from the cafe to the bench, you can choose to go up to see the cliffs (Trelanipa on the MAP), or go forward to get a better vantage point on the waterfall (Teistarok), or go down to the waterfall/lake itself - all 3 pretty cool experiences, but I would say go the middle ground as it first ascends and it allows you to also see some of the cliffs.
