Very disappointing
Reading Museum的点评
点评：We were excited to see the replica Bayeaux tapestry at the Reading Museum, as we had tried previously to see it but when we got there it was closed for renovations.
On the website it tells you to come after 2pm to avoid schools, so we turned up at 2pm to be told that we could only have half an hour as a private tour was starting at 2.30pm for an hour.
We managed to see about half the tapestry and, despite being quite put out at having to come back after the tour, we decided to return to see the rest of it.
However, on our return at 3.40pm the tour was still operating and was only three quarters of the way through. We were told we could start at the beginning of the tapestry but we had already seen this part, so this wasn’t really helpful to us and we left without completing the tapestry and shall not be returning.
There is nowhere immediately obvious on your website publicising these tours, if there had would not have gone when we did.
The whole experience has left us very disappointed to say the least and felt very unprofessional. Such a shame as with a bit of publicity we could have had such a different experience.
Any future visitors really need to bare this in mind to avoid such a disappointing and frankly underwhelming experience.
