点评：Carden Park Spa – Twilight Package
I’ve been wanting to visit Carden Park Spa for a while, so when I got the chance to go with work, I was really looking forward to it. It was £138 per person for the Twilight Package, which included use of the spa but no treatment, canapes and one drink each.
The spa itself and the grounds are absolutely beautiful, and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the facilities. There are buttons in the pods and around the pools/hot tubs that you can press if you want to order a drink, which I thought was a really nice touch. The staff were also lovely and friendly throughout our visit.
Unfortunately, for me, the biggest downside was how overcrowded it was. The smaller hot tubs in particular were very busy, with 8+ people squeezed into them, which made it difficult to relax and actually enjoy the facilities, we didn’t even go to the others it was so full. With so many people there, I didn’t feel like we were able to properly utilise everything included in the package or get our money’s worth.
There was also a drink included, but as I wasn’t drinking alcohol, I wasn’t offered a non-alcoholic alternative and had to have apple soda instead. I would have expected a proper alcohol-free option to be available, especially at this price point, I did get one seperate which was £8.50 and was lovely, the others had a bottle of pink Bollinger 2 enjoyed one couldn’t drink the first drinks as it wasn’t to her taste.
There were some canapés served during the evening. I tried the prawn tempura, which was lovely, and a small piece of chicken, although the chicken was extremely small — not even half a mouthful. The passionfruit dessert was also really nice.
There was a DJ playing throughout the evening. You couldn’t really hear the music from the hot tubs, although it became louder during the last hour or so.
Overall, Carden Park itself is a beautiful place and I’m glad I finally got to experience it. I would definitely go back for a more relaxed spa day, but personally I wouldn’t choose to attend another event there. At £138 per person, I felt it was too busy to properly enjoy the facilities and get the full value from the experience and other guest’s commented the same.
The staff and setting were lovely, they have good grounds and the changing area is great you can dry your hair and straighten, dry costumes and bikini, you get a robe bag and flip flops and they sell creams etc. I just think the number of people made a big difference to the experience.
