St Michael's Church Framlingham的点评
点评：We visited Framlingham Castle and, while speaking to one of the English Heritage staff, we were recommended to go and look inside the church near the castle. After visiting the castle this is what we did. We were treated to a beautiful, and unexpected treasure in both art and architecture.
The church was open and inside there were information sheets that helped you navigate your way around the building.
We took a slow walk around and were amazed by the rediscovered medieval art, the variety of architecture and the imposing design of the tombs. Being able to link the history of the Dukes of Norfolk to this church, gained in the castle, really helped.
The feature that impressed me most was the wooden perpendicular gothic vaulting over the nave. The timing of this vault would have been about the time the Duke moved his seat - so was it made in wood in the hope money would be provided to have it rebuilt in stone?
