点评:Started at the Valley d'Vine restaurant before going to the Linden Cellar door which is on the same property. Turns out that the gentleman pouring our wine was none other than the owner of the restaurant (now also the owner of the Cellar Door) where we had just had a fabulous lunch (still the best lamb loin we have had in NZ in the 3+ weeks we have been here). They are located in the Esk Valley of Napier and are one of the oldest vineyards in that area. You can pick 5 wines for your tastings from any of the Little, Estate or Destination wines available. He let me try the 2021 Vintage Fortified for a surcharge and I thoroughly enjoyed it. All of the Destination wines I tried were also excellent. Since we were the only ones there at the time, he also brought us out back to where they had their barrels and explained the variations and how they transfer and store the wine depending on what they are looking for in regards to taste and by varietal. They were also hit very hard by the cyclone in 2023 and they have some interesting educational information about that as well. We definitely bought a few bottles and will be buying more through the Collective to ship home.
