点评:If you're impatient, here's my one word summary: meh.
Here are the pros:
• many waterslides... of course. but eventually the huge number ensures that you never have to wait _extremely_ long. My favorites were the magic eye (presumably the longest tube ride in the world), big wave and Xtreme fasor..
• friendly but resolut staff. At some slides there's a very tight weight limit (40-110 kg) which is ensured by weighing sometimes each (doubtable) person. Regardless, they are very helpful if you have any questions even at absolute peak times.
• reasonable prices at restaurants: despite the "world largest thermal spring" you can have a full lunch for under 50€ for two persons. The 🍹 cost around 14€ which is not cheap but *definitely* worth in the pool...
• long opening hours: during the Bavarian holidays* the waterpark is open up to 11 p.m. (!) so you really can squeeze out every dime from the hefty entry fee (59€ btw). good luck trying to stay in the resort from opening to end!
*) I have no idea when they are exactly.
But unfortunately there are numerous cons:
• stupid app: the app is basically the homepage w/o any added value: no map, no load-meter, but "career opportunities" 🤪 wtf?! take Europa Park as a reference and you know what clients are expecting...
• high prices for special lounges: whilst most sun lounges are free of charge (but also in the scorching sun**), the family and sun islands range from 39 to 150€ per DAY.
**) note that the shadow in summer (e.g. August) moves towards the buildings...
• too cramped: it may be just bad luck, but both times we visited Erding it was completely stuffed. The wave pool became a tin of anchovies, the lazy river a human pinball machine and for some waterslides you have to wait always 30+ mins.
summing things up, I can give a mild recommendation considering the biggest waterpark in Germany, but I would not revisit the resort ... on a regular basis at least.
Xtreme Fasor”……
