A beautiful summer afternoon on Muscongus Bay.
Monhegan Boat Line的点评
点评：For our 45th wedding anniversary, my husband and I boarded the Laura for the puffin cruise to Egg Rock in Muscongus Bay, out of Port Clyde.
The day was bright and sunny with a cool breeze and a gentle bay.
The staff of Monhegan Boat LInes were courteous and efficient; and the tour guide and captain were observant and friendly.
The guide directed our attention to the wildlife: cormorants, several gull species, eider ducks, harbor seals, and puffins! We even saw a pod of white-sided dolphins numbering about 20, an extra treat! She gave us background history about the lighthouses and the many beautiful islands we passed, and answered our questions.
A boathand hauled up some traps and we were learned a bit about lobstering.
The captain also added interesting facts about the boat and a 1600's Maine pirate.
It was a relaxing and refreshing way to spend a special afternoon. Great scenery and wildlife on the coast.
