National Trust - Coventry Charterhouse的点评
点评：Like others we wandered round the car park looking for a machine to validate our NT card for parking, until a local told us it was in the building which you can’t see from the car park. Lovely walk down to the house even though everything is parched this summer. Volunteers in reception checked us and explained about parking and introduced us to the building. Volunteer in the first room explained features we may have missed without her guidance. Upstairs were two rooms with wall paintings. The black and white one more modern than the coloured one. Again an enthusiastic volunteer explained both to us which was needed with floor levels having changed over the years. The house is small, so you inly need 1 to 2 hours there including the gardens, so probably need to combine it with something else if you want to make a day of it. The cafe is not NT owned. Plenty if seating inside and out, but tables were not cleared or wiped quickly which was a pity. Sandwich good as was the quiche.
