点评：Travelled into Newcastle on the recently opened Northumberland Line from Ashington. Only £4 return for a journey of over 30 minutes each way is excellent value. Everyone related to the train were excellent. We travelled with 3 Border Collies and it were their first ever train journeys. Getting in and out of the station was easy. When interacting with the station staff they were very helpful and a lot wanted to meet the dogs which we were happy to accommodate. We sat for a while whilst waiting for our train out and couldn't help notice the staff smiling (mostly at the dogs, who remarkably were well behaved (the dogs are all rescues)) The staff we encountered are a credit to the station and management team. Minor niggles were a ticket machine that wasn't accepting contactless payment and a couple of machines that struggled to recognise a finger touch (the only way to input your choices for ticket purchase). Well done "noocassell" train station. 😜
