Cape Bruny Lighthouse Tours的点评
点评：We googled tours of the lighthouse while in Hobart the day before our drive to Bruny Island.
1st results basically give you tours by bus from Hobart which we didnt want to do. We were going to drive there and just wanted a tour of the lighthouse. After several searches I gave up and decided just to rock up and buy a tour at the site.
On arrival, you will need a Parks Pass which we had bought a 2month pass on arrival in Tasmania a month ago, parking is good, there is a small museum but no place to purchase a tour.
We decided just to walk up the steep path to the lighthouse and take photos and look at the views from there. We met other tourists who had a similar experience trying to find a tour of the lighthouse with self drive.
I googled once again while up there and after trying several different results I found you could book a 30min tour of the lighthouse for $25 online only, self drive and meet the guide.
The times I found were 9.30am, 10am and it was 10.15am so we had missed those but there was no one on those tours. The next available was 2pm and we didnt want to wait that long as is over an hours drive from the ferry. The last 18kms is on gravel road. Since home I found those times were wrong. Tours are more often. If they want more tours, the websites need to be easier to find these tours. Most go to bus tours.
The lighthouse is good to see, the views are great. Well worth the drive and the gravel road.
