It is becoming too much of a CIRCUS, sad for Tennis Lovers
美国网球公开赛的点评
点评：Sad story when it could be done better. We went last year at Ashe for 2 days sessions, family of 5 all players=$$$$$. It started on the wrong side with the rough, loud Russian spectators, they do not care about us.
Unfortunately, this year was even more smashing in spite of seat price going up like a good lob and even trying to buy better seats.
I am talking about mixing tennis lovers with the crowd that comes for the show, vibe and making noise, "the live bloggers blend" with their phones on your face during the game that zoom in and out on empty seats at the front rows (I had a pretty rude one all afternoon that took my neighbors seat of and on on Amstrong Section 4 Row 10 that is 4 Rows from the court) and the kids gangs that invade the front rows for players autographs before the end of the game and sometimes stay after. Even the players complained several times to the chair empire and stop their serves until the non aficionado stop moving around. We fell bad for them too. The grounds were completely packed except at 1030 am, we tried to visit other games in the afternoon, that is an insane idea, impossible. The money game is going to "kill" this grand slam.
Solutions: -empower the "ticket police" 1/3 of the people laugh at them when they are asking for tickets , the texting to "viewers concerns" 917-708-8080 does not work. -for the price paid, a RFID band that green light you seat is good for a center like flushing meadows. -Manage the number of ground passes. This ought to change for the better.
Our solution go to Cincinnati Open have front row seat for the same budget, more serious about the game and spectators like us. We met several tennis players like us with the same comments. Wimbledon looks better every day !
In spite of these we still had a good time in the morning games. The subway from Grand Central was efficient.
