阿尔伯克基国际热气球节的点评
点评：Total scam this year!
Usually, my daughter and I arrive on the first bus for the evening session and have a great time before the evening glow show. We wander around the shops, grab something to eat, enjoy the artisan and education pavilion, and have fun on the rides, including the jumpers, water bubbles, bungee jumping, and more.
However, to our great surprise, the rides were nowhere to be found at Balloon Fiesta this year! We have been attending Balloon Fiesta since 2016, and this was the first time we experienced an evening without the rides.
I assume Balloon Fiesta raised the prices for vendors, making it unprofitable for the ride owners to participate. On top of that, there were no balloons that evening due to bad weather. Okay, I understand that balloon launches and glow events are weather permitting. However, given that possibility, the Balloon Fiesta administration should have done EVERYTHING possible to ensure that the rides would be there. Otherwise, what were the kids supposed to do for five hours?
The other entertainment options were simply not enough to keep children occupied from 4 p.m. until the fireworks at 9 p.m. We just ended up heading home at 7 p.m.
From now on, I will have to check in advance whether the rides will be available before deciding whether to take the 3 p.m. or 6 p.m. bus. It's incredibly disappointing that something we have enjoyed as a family for years can no longer be taken for granted.
