点评：Although it's more a wooded promontory with gentle slopes. In August, I spent almost a day there.
The location is both a natural landmark and a historical site. In 1854, furious battles raged here, when the allied Anglo-French fleet sought to capture or at least demolish the fortifications of Petropavlovsk harbour. The assault was repelled with significant casualties for the attackers. That was Moscow's only victory during the Crimean War, and Russians are very proud of it.
I loitered across the area, climbed its highest point, paid tribute to those who'd perished during those hostilities, admired the fabulous Avacha Bay, walked along its wild shore, welcomed the seals lying at the foot of that cape, right in the haven, and had a wonderful time.
Wish you the very same, but do take a knowledgeable English-speaking guide with you. It’s not a big problem in this city.
