RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre的点评
点评：I wanted to say a big thank you, to the staff at the RAAF Base in Amberley. I spent a fantastic morning out there yesterday, and was honoured and humbled by our tour guide, who gave us a personal tour of the museum. He was a returned serviceman from Vietnam, so insightful and I clung onto every word he said. I found out at the end of the tour, that he had been on two of the aircraft during the Vietnam war. At times, I was surprised at how emotional I became, thinking about him and others he served with, some of which he had told me had lost their lives in the war.
Not all of it was emotional though. The staff that we interacted with were really friendly and hilariously funny, cracking dry joke after dry joke, which is totally my sense of humour. From the time we checked in, to the time we were escorted out of the gate, every single member of staff were polite and welcoming. You all do an amazing job and I thank you all for your service.
I absolutely recommend this tour. It’s something completely different from my every day life and it blew me away. Absolutely worth the trip to Amberley. Thank you so much everyone for a wonderful day.
